OVERVIEW
Storymap Pilot
Sharing conservation success stories inspires the next initiative. The goal of this project is to show how big conservation impacts can start from a simple idea and a few individuals.
This project is in a pilot stage – we have developed the Collection and templates, created sample stories from real-world partner projects, and will now begin inviting other communities to participate.
OUR WORK
To facilitate, Silvernail designed a StoryMap Collection and templates for communities around the world to learn from each others’ stories. The host organization, Community Conservation will curate and showcase these success stories to encourage more communities to initiate grass-roots conservation efforts. At each project site, physical signs will have QR codes taking visitors to that conservation story in this Collection. Each project story will follow a similar outline emphasizing it’s place and origin story, and culminating in the spread, or contagion, of conserving biodiversity to neighboring communities.
